Nicht nur geographisch sondern auch in der Geschichte der Schweiz spielt die Region eine zentrale Rolle.Nachdem wir uns in Brunnen besammeln, transferieren wir nach Weggis, Lützelau zum Ausgangspunkt unserer Kajakreise. (falls du mit dem ÖV anreist, kannst du uns auch direkt dort treffen) Von dort paddeln wir Richtung Brunnen, wo wir auch unser Nachtlager haben. Am zweiten Tag gilt es den abgeschiedensten und wildesten Teil des Sees, den Urnersee, zu entdecken. Er besticht mit seiner einzigartigen Schönheit und seiner Charakteristik, welche je nach Wetter ganz schön wild, rau und eigensinnig sein kann. Das Ende des Trips ist wieder in Brunnen.
I was very impressed with the organisation from start to finish. Questions were answered promptly on the WhatsApp Group.
Karel led the group extremely well passing on advice to individuals where he saw room for improvement and to the group as a whole. I particularly liked his style of instruction... asking us to think what we were actually doing and what the effects were before making a correction.
The route was flexible and we made decisions as a group as we went along whist still covered a decent distance in a timely manner. Having a map to refer to was very helpful. The safety skills we practiced on Saturday afternoon were just what I had been looking for in earlier correspondence with Hightide. Those of us who camped on Saturday evening had a convivial evening with pizza and a few beers by the lake. Overall the weekend has given me a lot more confidence on the water especially in windier conditions. I will definitely be doing other trip with Hightide and would recommend the company to others without hesitation.
One area of improvement would be to highlight the accommodation options for this trip. Camping and hotel space is tight on 4WSS in summer. Highlighting what camping options are available on the trip webpage could be useful.
